Bon Voyage Party for Dick & Moira Bentzel - Sunday, August 2, 6 PM

One of our own beloved RYC extended cruising couples, Moira and Dick Bentzel, are taking off on ‘EQUINOX’ for a TWO-YEAR cruise to explore the Western Caribbean (and more), and all RYCers want to give them a great send-off party at the RYC Club House.
As luck would have it, the best available date is Sunday, August 2, which happens to be the ending day of the Lobster Festival --- but that won’t stop us. In fact, the festival atmosphere is appropriate.
We’ll gather for Moira & Dick’s cocktail and Hors d'œuvre (and any other munchies) Bon voyage Party at the RYC Club House at 6:00 (which is the end of the Lobster Festival). You may need to park where you can and walk a bit, but the crowds should be mostly cleared-out --- and Moira & Dick are worth it --- so, show-up (and as always, BYOB and goodies, although some beverages are available at RYC).
Any of the ‘normal suspects’ (social RYCers who like to make things nice and festive in the kitchen and meeting rooms) are encouraged to email or cell-phone with Judy, and each other, on ideas to make this gathering more fun than your male commodore can think of.
Let’s make this a great Bon voyage Party for Dick and Moira --- and let’s hope their own bold ‘cruising spirit’ will bring out the sun and fair-wind gods that we all pray for this Summah.
